Interview:
CNN-IBN: Just weeks before your big debut releases, are you nervous, anxious, a bundle of nerves? What is it?

Deepika Padukone:
All the words that you have used.

CNN-IBN: What are you going to wear for the London premiere, which is going to be one of the most grand affair?

Deepika Padukone: I will definitely be wearing Manish Malhotra. He is someone whose style I admire and it suits me a lot. He has styled the entire film for me and there is no one else I would go with for the premiere.

CNN-IBN: Who is going to be your date for the premiere?

Deepika Padukone: My parents.

CNN-IBN: There is also another film that is releasing the same day as yours. It is also the launch pad for two new comers. Do you feel the competition, or you are sure of what you are doing?

Deepika Padukone: Not at all. There is absolutely no doubt that we have made a fantastic project. We are confident about what we have done. We can’t think beyond Om Shanti Om.

CNN-IBN: What is the one thing that you want to say to Ranbir Kapoor or Sonam Kapoor?

Deepika Padukone: I’m sure they have also worked as hard as we have so I would like to wish them all the best.

CNN-IBN: You’re being touted as the next Aishwarya. What’s your comment on that?

Deepika Padukone: Does she even know this? For me it’s a huge compliment. She is someone I have grown watching. I’ve been watching her ever since she won the Miss World. And she is partly responsible for me wanting to get into this industry.

CNN-IBN: Thank you so much for talking to us.

Deepika Padukone: Thank you.
