Bheemili, Vizag, Andhrapradesh, India
Bheemili or Bheemunipatnam is a serene town north of Visakhapatnam on the east coast. The ride from Vizag to Bheemili is breathtaking, with the coast on one side and lovely eastern ghats on the other side. This serene town has been the favourite of many filmmakers and is quite a romantic place. A great getaway from the noises of the city.

This lighthouse is as old as the British Empire and stands a mute spectator to the changes around it.
Bheemili- Buddha’s Statue, Vizag, Andhrapradesh, India
Buddhist Stupa Thotlakonda Vizag India
Buddhism flurished in Visakhapatnam area and most of the excavations in and around Vizag are supposed to be of 2-3 century BC. Thotlakonda used to be a place of learning for the then Buddhists and this is one of the stupas.
Tenneti Park, Vizag, India
On the Vizag-Bheemili road, this is the first point where you seem to distance yourself from the city noises to the heavenly other side of the mountain. Must go for all romatics, this is a real amazing place with the coast, mountains, city on all its sides.
Victory at Sea, Vizag, India
Victory at Sea is a memorial for the Indian victory over Pakistan in the 1971 War. You cannot miss this memorial on the beach road.
Arasavilli Sun Temple, near Vizag, India
This Sum Temple in Srikakulam near Vizag is one of the famous temples in and around Vizag, and many pilgrims get their infants’ hair tonsured for the first time here at this temple. The actual gopuram looks like the Sum Temple in Konark.
Thotlakonda, Vizag, India
Kondakarla Lake, Vizag, India
Kondakarla Lake, 10km from Anakapalle, which is 40 km from Vizag is a large freshwater lake and is best seen in Nov-Mar season. You can spot many migratory birds from far-off places like Siberia here in this season. You can have a canoe-ride on the lake and is a pleasant experience.

This is an old Church in the Bheemili near Visakhapatnam. A very beautiful church, has been a major attraction in many Telugu films. Chiranjeevi starrer Aradhana was filmed here.
