Asus today announced that its digital entertainment notebooks, including the A7S, G2S and W2W series, will feature Fujitsu MHX2300BT, the world’s first laptop-use 300-gigabyte 2.5-inch SATA hard drive.

“The Asus notebooks incorporated with Fujitsu 2.5� SATA 300GB provide the highest storage capacity available in 2.5� hard disk drives, offering the capacity needed to store terrestrial broadcasting digital TV contents. In addition, the MHX2300BT series operates with a low power consumption of 1.6W, minimum noise level and high shock tolerance,� according to PC maker.

Fujitsu MHX2300BT HDD has 4200rpm rotational speed and uses Perpendicular Magnetic Recording technology (PMR).
