Surely for me The 11th august 2007 episode of saregamapa challenge 2007, Independence day special was the most memorable episode in the history of saregamapa over a last decade. I MUST proudly confess that it is privileged and pleasure to witness such high quality singing from all the participants, particularly POONAM from YALGAAR GHARANA. She is really exceptional when she SANG “VANDEMATARAM” in Sanskrit version. Everything was done perfectly while rendering the song. The prounciations, expressions, emotions, etc; she also maintained the spirit of the song, more importantly she sang with great ease and confidence. The song from her has touched my heart and i am completely overwhelmed by her performance. I’m sure everyone would endorse my statement “The most electrifying performance of the SAREGAMAPA”. POONAM has given the definition of Performance. The performance which has brought tears in my eyes. It would possible only to LATA MANGESHKAR, who happens to be the original singer to sing with such ease. I Proudly claim now WE DISCOVERED (COURTSEY SAREGAMAPA) ANOTHER “LATA MANGESHKAR”.

poonam is the best female contestant of this season.Her vandemataram was out of this world! She is so simple 7 so beautifull.Pls vote her!
I want her to become a champion! i am so upset,no one has sihgned her so far,why? When average singer like mauli can get contracts why not deserving poonam?i really want her to be a big name in the music industry!
